Highways UK | Launching Safer Highways UK

Article Posted on: August 11, 2017

This year Highways UK will tackle the subjects of road worker and road user safety, with a free dedicated conference on 8th November called ‘Safer Highways UK’.

With the advent of the updated Highways England Safety Plan and pressure increasing to reduce those killed or seriously injured (KSI) on the network, now, more than ever there is a need for industry to come together, share best practice and equip themselves with the tools to ensure that our roads are a safe place to work and travel upon.
The programme will include a series of presentations designed to give employers solutions to issues in the fields of workforce engagement, breaking down barriers to cultural change, legal compliance and dealing with stigmas surrounding mental health in the workplace.
The event is certificated for continued professional development and supported by many leading safety organisations such as Driving for Better Business, Proud to be Safe and Mates in Mind.
