New car park spaces are now available at The Lawn, in Lincoln.
Eighty spaces have been created at the back of the site adjacent to the play area, taking the total number of spaces available to 190.
The extended car parking has been developed as part of the sale of The Lawn complex by the council to tea and coffee giant Stokes earlier this year.
Steve Bird, assistant director for communities and street scene at the city council, said: “We are aware of the desire for more parking spaces in the city during the transport hub works and especially in the run up to Christmas.
“Expanding parking at The Lawn at this important point in the trading year will benefit Lincoln residents and visitors alike, providing them with a better opportunity to explore many of the independent businesses in the uphill part of the city.”
These new spaces come in addition to the 200-space Siemens car park in Waterside North which was opened to the public in August for weekend and bank holiday parking.
