Work to create a new multi-million pound car park at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary has been delayed by “technical planning issues”.
It comes just just a week after NHS Grampian announced a start date for the project.
Work was due to start on the car park on Monday.
But the health board today announced it will be delayed by a week.
It means the existing visitor car park will remain open until Monday, October 17.
The new facility will add around 1,000 spaces and will include charging points for electronic vehicles.
The development has been made possible by a donation of £10.73m from Sir Ian and Lady Wood’s charity, the Wood Foundation.
NHS Grampian said the delays have been caused by “technical planning issues” but would not go into specifics.
