Based in Calne, Wiltshire, Acklea offers today’s Traffic Management market a wide range of products with the emphasis on operator safety in addition to high levels of performance.
Acklea is constantly expanding and has been priding itself in doing so since the company’s inception in 1996.
With over 20 years of business under its belt, the latest major development from Acklea comes in the form of the acquisition of Jason Jones, who is opening a new chapter in both his own career, and Acklea’s future.
Jason takes up the role of Operations & Production Manager and will manage the Acklea business moving forward. We asked Jason, “What attracted you to the role at Acklea?”
Jason told us:
“I was particularly attracted to the challenge of working in such a specialist sector and being able to invest energy and passion into enhancing and innovating traffic management vehicles.
“I know the reputation of Acklea and its standing in the industry, so to be able to have the opportunity and platform to take what is already a well regarded company to a new level was also a huge factor.
“I’m looking forward to building upon what has already been laid here, whilst maintaining the quality and performance of the product range, making sure standards continue to deliver for our clients.”
On the topic of his own goals, Jason continued:
“In the short term, my first real goal is to get to know our team, understand how they work and evaluate what we can both enhance, and also potentially do differently to push us forward. I’m looking forward to working closely with everyone.
“Simultaneously, it will be key to get to know our client base, engage with them, generate two way conversation and gather ideas and feedback around what they perceive to be our strengths that prompt them to utilise Acklea and our products, as well as areas that they would like us to venture further into to enhance their own operations.”
Nicky Simpson, Commercial Director of Acklea spoke highly of Jason as he now joins the company:
“Jason’s diverse experience and track record in mechanical engineering and production in a variety of industries and operating at a senior level was a huge tick in the box when it came to bringing him on board with Acklea.
