Amberon TM | Key strategic depot re-opens its doors in 2021

It’s quite clear that 2020 has presented obstacles, challenges and diversions to not only our entire sector, but all businesses – whether nationally or globally.
Adaptation and reaction have both been key on the road to safety, with some never before encountered decisions needing to be made in order to ensure the wellbeing of our workforces.
During the response to the Covid-19 outbreak, Amberon Traffic Management took the strategic decision to temporarily cease operations at its Kent depot.
This was due to a company initiative to limit staff exposure to Covid-19, by utilising the company’s South London depot as a more regional hub covering both workloads. Amidst the pandemic, it was an option born from a commitment to safety.
Whilst the company has not stopped throughout 2020 and business has continued, Amberon has navigated a logistical path with a few extra twists and turns in order to provide its services in Kent and other areas of the South East.
Open the doors
Amberon TM currently operates from an impressive network of 28 depots nationwide.
January 2021 will now see an official re-opening of the company’s Kent depot, the 28 th and most recent to be opened by Amberon originally back in 2019.
When Kent returns to full operations, all TM operatives will return to action at their regular home, as the company battles back against the Covid-19 outbreak that has challenged us all on a daily basis for what now feels like forever. Part of this fightback is the ensuing recruitment drive that will follow the re-opening, as Amberon opens the lane for further job creation in Kent.
Dan East, Amberon TM Commercial Director spoke to us about a big step for Amberon:
“We’re delighted to be able to make the plan to re-open the depot in Kent. Our team have been fantastic in adapting through what has been a difficult period at times in order to continue servicing the network, so now we can open the doors back up at their home depot it’s a definite silver lining to the Covid-19 cloud.
“We look forward to seeing our team back, recruiting further members to it, as well as welcoming new customers and catching up with our existing ones when all is safe, and we have the approval to do so.
“We’re celebrating a small step back to normality today.”
