Amberon TM | Open day in Nuneaton sees depot officially open for business
Amberon TM’s latest depot is officially open!
The company welcomed suppliers and customers alike to its new locality in Nuneaton recently to celebrate the opening of its latest base.
With the barbeque firing and the Renault Twizy EV challenge in full swing outside, visitors arrived at a welcoming
Greeted by depot staff, Amberon TM’s new 7000 depot was toured and explored with Amberon showcasing some of its recent innovations such as Samsara, Traffic light Telematics and the new Core training Hub. Amberon were also joined by a number of supply chain partners including HRS and SRL, Highway Care and Skyways Media who were showcasing their own products and services to the people in attendance.
Venturing into a new locality, Amberon now looks to add to its already vast workforce of over 800 by providing career opportunities to people in Nuneaton and surrounding areas, as well as adding social value to the area.
With social value a key focus of the company, all Nuneaton depot stakeholders can rest assured that Amberon TM aims to bring benefits to the locality.
Speaking to HighwaysIndustry.Com on the topic of social value, MD Terry Musson told us:
“Our people, their families and their communities are all incredibly important to us, as they all form part of our Amberon family and community. Spanning a number of years, the company has come together with organisations within its communities in a number of ways including school initiatives, various charity donations and local sports club aid as it continues to give back.”
The Amberon TM website showcases all roles available and can be viewed here.
For its clients, with the opening of the new depot, Amberon TM further regionalises its service for more efficient delivery, continuing to cement its place as a truly nationwide provider.
We spoke to Commercial Director Dan East at the opening and asked firstly, why Nuneaton?
“We carried out a piece of analysis and recognised an opportunity in the region.” Said Dan.
“Whilst we’ve never struggled to deliver in the area, not having a home here was something that we identified as something we could look to improve upon for both efficiency of our operations for our service to our customers, as well as the ability to create jobs and benefit the local community.”
Speaking about the open day Dan told us:
“It’s really nice to be able to invite our customers and suppliers to visit us for the day – especially given the last 18 months of seeing very few people in person. It’s nice to see people having discussions and speaking with our Nuneaton based staff as well as the rest of our management team.
“I’d like to thank everyone who came to see us today and we look forward to seeing them again without another 18 month gap.”
