Bartco UK | Multiple team members promoted from within as investment in employees continues
It is widely accepted that low staff turnover is a huge positive for a business. Reduced recruitment costs, consistent contacts for clients and a real hardened sense of unity and team are just some of the real benefits of keeping staff for the long haul.
Bartco UK has a proven track record when it comes to retaining and developing their workforce, and they continue to upskill and promote from within. Numerous members of their team initially joined the company as an apprentice, and many of the workforce have spent over 60% of their entire career at their current employer.
Recently, three of their team have further climbed the company hierarchy to take up new roles.
Firstly, Tim Hill has been promoted to Workshop Supervisor.
Before working as part of the Technical Support team, Tim started at Bartco UK as part of their delivery and maintenance team, progressing to Workshop Supervisor in 2019, where he oversees the Technical Support Team and Technical apprentices.
Starting in delivery and maintenance means Tim’s knowledge of how the units need to perform on site is second to none, and he now brings this knowledge and field experience to workshop staff.
Technically minded with a keen eye for detail, you can usually find Tim in the workshop working with his team on a repair, refurbishment or a completely new build.
Tim’s always on hand to make sure units are built on time and to the highest standard and his hands-on approach is valued highly by both customers and colleagues.
Secondly, Rebecca Prince has earned a promotion to the role of Purchasing & Stock Control Supervisor.
Becca started at Bartco UK as a Business Administration apprentice in 2015 and has quickly progressed to her role in Purchasing and Stock Control.
Highly capable and reliable, Becca helps to keep Bartco UK running smoothly. Her day-to-day role involves ordering stock and components and creating purchase orders.
Completing the trio of promotions, Tom Hooton moves into the role of Technical Development Supervisor.
Tom joined Bartco UK in 2014 as technical support, and quickly progressed into the role of mechanical supervisor, and now to Technical Development Supervisor in 2019.
Tom’s quick thinking and methodical approach makes him ideal for this role.
