BT-HS | 7 figure investment for 2021 sparks next phase of growth

As an eventful 2020 draws to a close, it seems the entire world is pleased to see the back of the last 12 months. In what has been quite possibly for most of us -both individually and as businesses – the most challenging year of our lives, companies have been forced to adapt and find new ways to move forward and grow.
The adaptability and resourcefulness of businesses across the industry, combined with the good fortune of key worker status has given companies within the highways sector room to thrive.
BT-HS is one of the companies that has taken the challenges of a Covid-19 ridden 2020 in its stride and is proudly ending the year in a position to make a major investment in early 2021.
As the year turns, BT-HS is delighted to announce that an investment of £2m will be injected into new vehicles. The new vehicles will encompass both IPV’s and 3.5T traffic management vehicles.
RENAULT MASTER 3.5t
BT-HS originally bought the Renault Master in 2019. It was the first Traffic Management Tail Lift vehicle to go onto the fleet.
Director Phil Glaiser told us:
“Throughout 2019, these vehicles proved to be very popular in both sales and hire. The popularity and demand has actually increased even further into 2020 following the release of the new Master version.
“We have found them to be a great addition to our rental fleet. We have also experienced customers who bought them as an outright purchase, repeatedly returning to purchase more. It seems the quality really shines through.
“A big plus point for these vehicles is the fact they are supported by the trucking division within the Renault and Volvo group. We have found that some manufacturers who are more retail focused do not understand the implications of vehicle downtime. With a logistics and trucking back up programme, this has proved an invaluable plus.”
Chris Bell, Sales Director JDS Trucks commented:
“As the local dealer to BT-HS, we supplied the Master demonstrator for trialling.
“Feedback from BT-HS was very positive; they reported being pleasantly surprised with the quality, comfort and performance of the Renault Master. We at JDS Trucks are very excited to enter into this significant procurement programme and partnership with BT-HS moving forward. With a procurement value of seven figures, it really shows the confidence BT-HS has in the Master range and 2021.”
IPV’S
“The very first vehicles sold by BT-HS were DAF vehicles, and they have proven to be an absolutely fantastic truck.” Phil continued.
“The BT-HS client base have been extremely happy with the trucks and I have to say they have been faultless.
“We have also had very positive experiences with them on our rental fleet too.”
BT-HS has now decided to make this investment into more chassis purchases and have new DAF IPV’s currently in build to be ready in early 2021. This is alongside the company’s customer build programme.
Alick Croft from Lancashire DAF commented:
“We have worked with BT-HS since their first day. The LF truck is a very versatile vehicle and it has been a pleasure bringing BT-HS and their customers to the factory on tours. It’s great to see them continuing to purchase the LF range into 2021.”
Phil concluded:
“It’s exciting for us to continue these relationships into the new year and take a significant step, by making a very significant investment in these new vehicles.”
