BT-HS | Quality and safety keeps 7.2t vehicle overcoming assumptions

One of the vehicles BT-HS specialises in the building of is the dedicated 7.2T Traffic Management vehicle.
Built onto the Iveco Daily chassis, with an impressive payload that surpasses that of a normal 7.5T chassis cab variant, it really is a versatile vehicle.
As the only provider of the fully aluminium 7.2t vehicle Traffic Management vehicle, BT-HS is in a unique position.
A common misconception with the 7.2t Iveco is the vehicle’s payload. Many often perceive that the vehicle can carry less than a standard 7.5t vehicle – which is simply not the case.
BT-HS ensures that its 7.2t vehicle is designed and build to the same standard as its renowned IPV quality. These vehicles are a great cross over vehicle that can be used on both high-speed networks and low speed networks.
The 7.2t vehicles are very nimble in and around urban environments and are equally as good on the motorway network also.
The 7.2t vehicle provides an impressive payload of 3,295kgs – a hugely considerable amount.
However, if the 3.3tonne payload is not enough for certain specific scenarios, BT-HS also fit these vehicles with tow bars and an additional 3,500kg towing capacity.
With a tail lift version of this vehicle also available from BT-HS, it’s the perfect solution for carrying large amounts of traffic lights, especially where a 3.5 vehicle would be restricted by its limited payload.
Additionally, the 7.2t Traffic Management vehicle also comes equipped with unique features such as folding down cone well fronts, dual illuminated cone wells, illuminated sign racking, and a special control module.
BTHS client Scott Mcdonald of Intertoll said of the BTHS vehicles:
“We are really happy with the vehicles we have bought from BT-HS. We use them on our high-profile contract in Northern Ireland and our lads have given us great feedback on them.
“They are very well thought out in their design and the quality of the build is something we are very pleased with. They have been a great asset investment.”
BT-HS MD Phil Glaiser commented:
“The 7.2t vehicle is proving particularly popular. The lighter weight of the vehicle itself and the resulting benefits of that in particular are mentioned in feedback to us.
“Bit by bit, we’re overcoming assumptions about the lighter vehicle not delivering in terms of payload, and all signs are positive the more of our clients utilise these vehicles.”
