Tony Pope, shareholder in CCRS has over 20 Years’ experience in the Traffic Management Industry explains how the company was formed.
“We were constantly being asked to provide the impact protection vehicles for operatives we provided, combined with a growing requirement and a hunger for improved safety within the Traffic Management Industry we decided we could make a difference and thus CCRS was born. We decided to enter the market to supply new vehicles with a safety first, consistently fresh look and a service orientated approach. The company has organically grown with the need for the business model we supply. Combine this with the shareholder’s direct industry experience and knowledge we have created a product has created a great interest in the industry and furthermore has started to be replicated. We decided that while as shareholders our experience in Traffic Management was in excess of 30/40 years, we understood that the company would need a unique support team behind it, thus we hired Phil”

Phil Glaiser MILT, Fleet Manager comes from a Transport and Logistics background with approaching 20 years’ experience of Fleet and Driver Management.
“My initial thoughts when joining the company, apart from how I can manage the ambitious growth plans, was how do I gain an understanding of the industry. I have conducted a lot of research to tap into the knowledge resources to get a proper understanding of what the operatives and the vehicles do while out on the network, even completing my Lantra sector scheme qualifications to get out on the road and understand the processes from an operative’s point of view. I have the opportunity to speak to operatives, supervisors, area managers, fleet managers and company directors on a daily basis, making for an interesting but good mix of feedback on our products, helping to grow both my experience and that of the company. CCRS management team is unique. The shareholders provide the industry knowledge and I provide the vehicle husbandry knowledge injecting my previous experience into the company to provide a product that is second to none. This year due to our growth and continued investment we have expanded our workforce adding a new addition to our company, Jade.

CCRS’s latest accolade is it’s ISO9001 accreditation, which is something the company was determined to achieve. CCRS are proud to be the first Traffic Management Rental company to be FORS registered, a CLOCS shareholder with BVRLA accreditation and CHAS/SMAS awarded too. This helps them to stand out from the crowd in the service they provide.
“We don’t just leave you with a vehicle and wait for its return” explains Phil “All our vehicles are inspected every 6 weeks, in-between this we check the vehicles ourselves. This way you can be assured that any breakdown events are either nonexistent or rare. It helps us to communicate more with our customers and therefore gain their feedback. We do these visits to ensure our customers get the most from our vehicles, we just have a look around the vehicle, consult with our customers and look to see what feedback we can gain using this to consistently improve. It’s been interesting to hear peoples’ feedback and how we have managed to grow our reputation in the rental industry, it’s somewhat flattering.
