Chevron TM | Chevron awarded certificate of Lean Competency – LCS accreditation
The Lean Competency System (LCS) is a university developed and industry recognised Lean qualifications framework for developing Lean thinking knowledge and practical skills in the workplace.
Chevron’s Keep It Simple Lean Improvement programme has successfully been accredited to the Lean Competency System framework, a licenced service of Cardiff University. Joining the likes of the BBC, Barclays Bank, British Gas, E.ON, GE, Panalpina and many other organisations.
A first for the construction industry in that the rigorous assessment process ensures that as well as personal competency for learners, organisational competency is also assessed to ensure the training system is developed, managed and continually improved in line with the requirements of the framework.
Tim Cockayne, Chief Executive Officer said:
“Keep It Simple is one of our core values and the programme we have developed is a vital part of our business as we continue to grow, ensuring that we protect existing value by reducing risk, but also creating value through operational efficiency. It also ensures that we continue to support Highways England’s Road Investment Strategy. Receiving this prestigious recognition shows that our approach is the right way.”
Simon Elias, Director of the LCS, commented:
“Taking the waste out of delay might sound a bit odd to a lean thinker, but this is what Chevron Traffic Management Limited does in managing traffic flows on UK roads under repair. It is now to be congratulated as the first in its sector to become LCS accredited.”
