Crown Highways | RIDDOR Success

Crown Highways are proud to announce they have accumulated over 625000 man hours worked without a RIDDOR reportable accident since their records began in 2009. This has been made possible through their commitment to safety and supporting the Highways Agency Aiming For Zero campaign.
Company Director Steve Jones commented Health and Safety continues to be of paramount importance to the business and is a major reason why Crown achieve approved supply chain status for nearly all of the highway maintenance contractors throughout the UK. Our Clients need to have confidence that their supply chain have the same commitment to quality and safety that they encourage throughout their own organisation.
Crowns success is a direct result of the hard work undertaken by Steve Broadfield and Sarah Fone of the Safety team. Regular safety workshops investment in training near miss reporting suggestion cards and site audits are attributed as the main reasons for their success.
I think this is an absolutely fantastic achievement for a company of our size to achieve over 4 years and 625000 hours without a RIDDOR reportable accident. It is testament to our commitment and something that all our employees need to be proud of. This shows we are well on our way to achieving our goal of 1million hours worked without a RIDDOR. Sarah Fone
Crown have also worked closely with Amey in the Midlands to commission a new safety DVD Changing Behaviour What Does it Take? which is aimed at influencing attitudes towards Safety for everyone involved in the Highways Maintenance Industry.
