Crown Plus | Crown Plus deliver A417 Missing Link, Phase 3 Drainage Surveys for ARUPS

Crown Plus Limited have been appointed by ARUP to undertake the Phase 3 drainage surveys for the new £460 Million A417 Missing Link scheme that is due to commence later in 2022.
The drainage surveys are being undertaken to facilitate the detailed drainage design on the new 3.4-mile dual carriageway which will link Air Balloon Island to Cowley Roundabout in Gloucester.
The scheme which commenced on 3 May requires close collaboration with ARUP’s and Soil Engineering, with the works expected to run for up to 6 weeks.
Crown Plus activities comprises of the survey of all drainage features and surface assets, with all works undertaken in accordance with DMRB CS 551 section 7. As part of the works, Crown Plus are working alongside Soil Engineering in their planned road closures, whilst also responsible for the design and implementation of independent traffic management to facilitate the surveys being completed on local roads and private land.
These preliminary works support the National Highways £460 million scheme to upgrade the A417 between Gloucester and Swindon.
