DDC | Health and Wellbeing strategies must adapt to increased mental health awareness
The CIPD 2018 Health and Wellbeing report has identified that more than 60% of companies in the UK don’t have a stand-alone wellbeing strategy- even though there is evidence that a well implemented Wellbeing and Health strategy increases employee morale, employee engagement and lower absences due to sickness.
The thought of implementing a workplace wellbeing strategy can be overwhelming, but the key component is to devise a wellbeing plan according to the needs of the employees.
A plan should encompass the right culture, good leadership, staff having good relationships with managers and feeling empowered and employee benefits.
DDC has developed its own Wellbeing strategy centred around the morale, engagement levels and health of their team.
