Delta Bloc UK | Meeting the Minister at Road Expo Scotland

Delta Bloc MD Tony Walker in discussion with Derek MacKay, Minister for Transport and The Islands
Delta Bloc UK were recently exhibiting at Road Expo Scotland 2015, and were delighted to receive an unexpected visit from a very special visitor.
Derek MacKay, Minister for Transport and the Islands was present to open the conference at the event with a keynote speaker spot, and paid the West Yorkshire based outfit a visit afterwards.
Opening this year’s Road Expo Scotland conference, Derek commented:
“Road Expo 2015 offers another exciting opportunity for road professionals from across Scotland and beyond to see and share the latest developments in traffic management and roads maintenance.
“With its innovative thinking and creative approach to addressing challenges within the industry, Scotland has earned a solid reputation across the globe for road engineering excellence – and the talent pool expected at this year’s Expo will only serve to reinforce that view.”
It seems the Minister was impressed with what Delta Bloc had to offer the show, stopping for an in depth chat with Delta Bloc MD Tony Walker post-speech.
Tony told us:
“It was great to chat with Derek- he had a keen interest in Delta Bloc and what we’re bringing to Scotland at the moment. We certainly feel we bring innovation and creativity to the industry so it was fantastic to be able to explain how we fit into the speech he delivered at the conference.”
On the subject of Road Expo Scotland itself, Tony added:
“It’s been another really good show. We love being able to catch up with suppliers and customers alike up here and as always, we have laid the foundations for some new relationships to further increase our presence in Scotland.”
