Driving Down | Driving Down Ltd’s members savings soar!
Driving Down has been working diligently for nearly 3 years to help UK businesses save money on their fuel costs.
The company takes up the role as middle man between a business and its fuel provider(s) to bring the business onto the most cost-effective fuel price – and then continues to monitor and manage week on week to ensure it stays on the very best deal.
Over the last 9 weeks, the market fuel price has risen by 14 pence a litre, and, in that time the average fuel card customers price has jumped by over 20p per litre – meaning a large number of businesses are once again overpaying on their fuel.
Driving Down has been working relentlessly to negotiate these prices for its clients, to remove any unnecessary fees and to reduce any inflated surcharges – using expertise to limit the effects of the price rises for its customer base. This has seen its client see savings of over £350k from their annual fuel costs during this period, and Driving Down’s total savings to date has surpassed an incredible £11 million for UK businesses. That’s £11 million staying IN the UK’s companies when it was previously being spent on unnecessary fuel card add-ons and fees.
Now, in addition to fuel savings, Driving Down has ventured into the world of Adblue, and is rapidly becoming one of the best priced providers in the market.
We spoke to Managing Director Nick Dodds to understand the reason for moving into this market and how he hopes it will benefit his customers:
“We’ve had a real impact on the fuel card industry and seen some fantastic results in ensuring businesses aren’t overpaying on their fuel.
“Our reputation is growing as an honest provider who delivers results and savings for businesses, but we wanted to see if we could help even further – and outside of just the fuel sector.
“As a result, we partnered with Greenchem – one of the leading providers of Adblue in the UK – to get direct to supplier prices for both our clients and new customers too.
“As with fuel, it turns out Adblue pricing was also significantly inflated with most providers, which meant when we started publishing prices, it was a feeding frenzy of orders.
“Most of our members saw a 12-14p per litre saving against the price of their previous supplier, so it just furthered our value to them and their savings by being part of our membership”.
With fuel prices showing no signs of letting up anytime soon, Driving Down is pushing to review as many UK businesses fuel & adblue costs to ensure they’re paying the best possible price and, if not, help them to get the best possible deal week on week.
