Eight winning firms for £2bn contract are announced
Eight firms have won a place on a £2bn civil engineering and highways framework covering Yorkshire.
Balfour Beatty, Galliford Try, Interserve, John Graham, Sisk, Morgan Sindall, NMCN and a Tarmac / Farrans joint venture have been named on the YORcivil Major Works Contractors Framework.
The framework covers civil engineering and highways works for projects over £10m for Yorkshire and the Humber’s 22 local authorities as well as public sector bodies and third-sector organisations such as housing associations.
Schemes expected to be procured through the deal include maintenance and construction of roads, bridges, flood alleviation schemes and public realm.
It will be managed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Sheffield City Council.
The new framework is one of a suite of YORhub frameworks that also includes YORbuild2 for construction, YORconsult2 for consultancy services and YORcivil2 for engineering/highway works up to a value of £10m.
