Greener Highways | #MYGREENERHIGHWAY campaign is launched amongst members

Greener Highways has recently launched an exciting new initiative, #MYGREENERHIGHWAY, aimed at engaging its members in a commitment to adopting a local road for constant monitoring, keeping clean, and taking care of local communities. This initiative is a crucial step towards creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment for everyone.
The #MYGREENERHIGHWAY initiative will see the 31 strong member base of Greener Highways commit to keeping their chosen road or street clean by engaging in activities such as litter clearing, graffiti removal and removing animal droppings. They will contribute their time and energy into looking after an area of their localities, thus making their communities more liveable and enjoyable.
The initiative is a perfect example of the power of collective action, with Greener Highways leading the way in mobilising its members to take action on the ground. The organisation recognises that environmental problems cannot be solved by governments alone and that every individual has a crucial role to play in creating a greener and healthier world.
By adopting a local road, members of Greener Highways are making a tangible and meaningful commitment to their communities. They are taking ownership of their neighbourhoods, and through their actions, they are inspiring others to do the same. The initiative is also an excellent opportunity for members to connect with each other and build a sense of community around their shared goal.
The benefits of the #MYGREENERHIGHWAY initiative are numerous.
Firstly, it will contribute to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone. Litter and graffiti not only make our communities look unsightly but also pose health hazards and create safety risks. By cleaning up these areas, we can create safer, healthier, and more pleasant neighbourhoods for everyone.
Secondly, the initiative will promote a sense of community and collective responsibility. By working together towards a common goal, members of Greener Highways are building strong connections and relationships within their communities. This sense of community is essential for creating a more sustainable and equitable world.
Finally, the initiative will help to raise awareness of the importance of environmental stewardship. By taking action on the ground, members of Greener Highways are demonstrating the power of individual action and inspiring others to follow their lead.

“The launch of #MYGREENERHIGHWAY is an exciting development in the fight against environmental degradation. By engaging with members in a commitment to adopting a local road, we’re championing collective action and promoting a sense of community and responsibility. The initiative is an excellent opportunity for individuals to make a meaningful contribution to their communities and the environment, while inspiring others to do the same.
“This is the first of 3 member initiatives centred around community that will be delivered across 2023. We’ll be supporting members on this journey by providing tools for the task at hand, and we’re looking forward to seeing members out and about on their respective adopted roads.”
