Hertfordshire CC begin search for £232m roads framework contractors
Hertfordshire County Council has launched a search for contractors to join its six-year £232.2m road maintenance framework.
Its six lots include resurfacing, road and footpath drainage works and footpath reconstruction. Their values range from £6m for drainage and civils works to £114m for carriageway resurfacing. The framework covers works around Hertfordshire.
Suppliers will be appointed through a one-stage procurement process. Interested firms are required to submit a bid by midday on 23 May.
£232.2m roads framework outlined:
- Lot one: Carriageway resurfacing (£114m)
- Lot two: Carriageway surface dressing (£49.2m)
- Lot three: Carriageway micro-surfacing (£24m)
- Lot four: Footway micro-surfacing (£9m)
- Lot five: Drainage and general civils (£6m)
- Lot six: Footway reconstruction (£30m)
In December, Kier, Vinci and Wates were among the firms appointed to the council’s £160m property works framework covering refurbishments, extensions, new-builds, asbestos removal, roofing and window walling. The framework will run until 2023.
