HGV drives off M25 causing barrier to land on M26
Part of the M25 has been closed this morning after a HGV drove off the carriageway.
Just before 4am this morning, the lorry crashed and caused the barrier to fall across the M26 below.
Recovery is on the scene but the road is likely to be closed for a long time during peak hours as Highways England carries out work to recover the vehicle, repair the damaged safety barriers and carry out any emergency repairs needed to ensure the roads are safe to travel on.

Traffic is unable to continue on the M25 clockwise at Junction 5 as it as been closed off. Drivers are instead being forced to use the A21.
Kent Police have said that there have fortunately been no serious injuries reported.
