Thank you to everyone who has entered Highways UK’s two innovation competitions. they have received over 100 entries for our judges to review!
However it’s not too late to enter as the entry deadline has been extended to 28 August.
Organised in collaboration with our Innovation Partner, Innovate UK, they run two annual innovation competitions that culminate in live finals at Highways UK on 4/5 November.
The Intelligent Infrastructure Challenge, sponsored by Costain, is for intelligent infrastructure products or systems, that is loosely anything that uses data.
The Civils and Materials Innovation Hub, sponsored by AECOM, focuses on innovative solutions used in the construction and maintenance of highways including physical products, components, systems, processes and materials.
The competitions offer an opportunity for organisations, particularly small to medium enterprises, to pitch ideas to senior highways sector clients and industry experts.
The category winners and overall winning organisation will be offered a high-level half day mentoring session led by Highways England and including other key industry organisations who will offer in depth advice on the processes involved in taking your innovation to the next level.
You’ll find further information on the competitions including entry categories and the type of information you will be asked and how to enter via their website.
