HTM | Meeting The Crew From Midland Air Ambulance

As part of HTM’s ongoing support for their chosen charity, they were given the opportunity to meet one of the helicopter crews from the Strensham depot of the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Of course, they jumped at the chance to meet up and discuss all their good work. So on the 23rd March, HTM staff met with their Midland Air Ambulance counterparts.
Upon arrival, the air heroes had literally just come back from a call out. As soon as the HTM staff arrived, they were a pleasure to meet and were completely accommodating. Speaking with the 2 paramedics Kerry & Piers, as well as pilot Mark Dennis- they ran through some of the unbelievable scenarios that they go through on an average day.
It is still hard to believe that we as a country rely on a service that has no government funding whatsoever, and relies wholly on charitable funds. It takes an amazing £7 million to keep the charity running for a year.

Jon Cottrell, Corporate Partnerships Coordinator from Midlands Air Ambulance told us:
“In some ways it’s probably a good thing that there is no government funding as they would probably have to make cut backs anyway at some point.
“With that said, we’re extremely grateful to all donations we receive, and being the chosen charity of a company such as HTM helps us hugely with our service.”
HTM’s visit to Strensham just happened to fall on the day the TM specialists started to take stock of 12 of their new 3rd Generation Low Level Traffic Management vehicles. So, they took along one of their brand new vehicles for some collaboration photo opportunities. HTM Transport Manager Martyn Long is a keen photographer, and did a great job capturing the relationship between HTM and the Midlands Air Ambulance.
