HTM – HTM Raise Over £14,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Highway Traffic Management Ltd (HTM) is proud to announce it has raised over £14,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK, highlighting its commitment to support vital research, awareness and care for one of the UK’s most challenging cancers.
HTM’s efforts follow the company’s earlier fundraising achievement of raising over £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in its 2023-24 business year, following the passing of HTM’s founder, Keith Baldwin, to pancreatic cancer in early 2024.
The business announced Pancreatic Cancer UK as its Charity of the Year for 2024-25, a charity dedicated to transforming outcomes for people affected by pancreatic cancer — funding research into earlier detection and better treatment, campaigning for change and providing expert support.
Pancreatic cancer is notoriously difficult to diagnose early and has the lowest survival rate of the common cancers. More than half of people diagnosed die within three months, and fewer than 7% survive five years.
HTM’s Managing Director, Greg Baldwin, said:
“We’re incredibly proud of the amount raised for Pancreatic Cancer UK this year. Pancreatic cancer urgently needs greater attention, and so it’s incredibly important to raise funds as well as awareness.
“Having lost Dad in early 2024 to pancreatic cancer, it’s more personal for us. It’s been amazing to see all the different ways people from different depots and departments have come up with ways to raise money and help us surpass our fundraising target.”
Fundraising Highlights
HTM’s fundraising activities have included:
- A Christmas raffle that raised £505 at the start of the business year.
- A ‘Brave the Shave’ event at HTM’s Lincoln depot featuring buzz cuts and wax strips
- A charity quiz event hosted by HTM’s very own Ant and Dec (Marcus Casey & Greg Baldwin)
- Physical challenges such as 28 days running in February, Move for March and taking on an inflatable 5k assault course
- Fishing matches and golf days
With these efforts and the generous backing of employees, clients and suppliers, HTM is pleased to report a total raised of more than £14,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK — surpassing the original target of £12,500.
Looking Ahead
HTM remains fully committed to its partnership with Pancreatic Cancer UK, with a focus on continuing to raise funds and awareness for the charity for the new 25-26 business year. The company will use its wide network within the highways and traffic-management industry to amplify outreach, engage partners and invest in meaningful fundraising challenges.
Amy Hannagan, Corporate Partnership Manager at Pancreatic Cancer UK, added:
“We’re thrilled to partner with Highway Traffic Management. For too long, pancreatic cancer has been overlooked and underfunded. Support from businesses like HTM helps us go above and beyond for everyone affected.”
