Kier Appoints Joe Incutti as Group Managing Director of Infrastructure Division

Kier Group has announced the appointment of Joe Incutti as the new Group Managing Director of its Infrastructure division, a key role overseeing over 6,000 employees and contributing to a turnover exceeding £2 billion annually.

The Infrastructure arm integrates Kier’s design, construction, and maintenance operations across a diverse portfolio, including roads, rail, aviation, water, energy, and environmental services. The appointment marks a strategic leadership move as the business continues to strengthen its position in delivering critical UK infrastructure.

Taking to social media to share the news, Mr Incutti commented:

“I’m thrilled to share that I’m starting a new position as Group Managing Director – Kier Infrastructure at Kier Group! The Kier Infrastructure division combines Kier’s design, build and maintenance capabilities across the road, rail, aviation, water, energy and environment sectors.”

With a 15-year track record at Kier, Mr Incutti most recently led the Transportation division as Group Managing Director. His broader career spans senior roles in banking, manufacturing, defence, and the NHS, equipping him with a cross-sector lens that supports Kier’s multi-disciplinary approach to infrastructure delivery.

A well-respected figure in the highways sector, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation and a founding member of the Highways Sector Council. He is also a qualified accountant, with demonstrated expertise in acquisitions, transformational change, and operational improvement across multiple industries.

In his leadership style, Mr Incutti places strong emphasis on building long-term, collaborative relationships with government bodies, clients, and supply chain partners. He also champions diversity, inclusion, and creating environments where staff can thrive and realise their full potential.

This leadership change follows the retirement of Andrew Davies, former Chief Executive of Kier Infrastructure, who stepped down on 31 October 2025. He has been succeeded by Stuart Togwell.

Additionally, Kier underwent a major finance leadership shift in late 2025. Simon Kesterton, the outgoing Chief Financial Officer, was credited with reinforcing the company’s financial position during a crucial recovery phase. Tom Hinton has now taken over the role of CFO.

These strategic appointments underscore Kier’s commitment to robust leadership and sustainable growth across the UK’s infrastructure landscape.
