MAC Surfacing | Promoting Health & Safety at the HME Awards
On Thursday 6th October, the 2016 Highways Magazine Excellence Awards (HMEA) took place at the Portman Hotel, London.
With 13 awards up for grabs in addition to guest speaker Huw Edwards addressing the guests, it was a full night of celebration and entertainment in the nation’s capital.
In amongst the awards were MAC Surfacing, supporting the HMEA by sponsoring the prestigious ‘Road Safety Scheme or Project Of The Year’ award. As we can all agree in our potentially dangerous industry, health and safety best practices are absolutely vital to workforces and the public alike.
With this in mind, Marc Copson, Director of MAC Surfacing told us:
“The HMEA is a fantastic night for the industry to have people from across the sector all in the same room celebrating the successes of the last 12 months.
This was a really important award for us to get behind. We at MAC pride ourselves on our attitude and protocols towards health and safety so to put our name to a leading industry award like this is a pleasure.”
The award was taken out on the night by Transport Scotland for their A9 interim safety plan.
Marc continued:
“I’d like to personally congratulate everyone involved in this project for their hard work and subsequent success, as well as say congratulations also to all those nominated in this important category.”
