Meon | Introducing the New E-Powered LineLazer ECO ES Roadliner
Meon have great pleasure in introducing the new, all electric LineLazer ECO ES RoadLiner.
Driving towards Net Zero Carbon Highways using ground breaking innovations. Not only does the ES RoadLiner help reduce carbon emissions, it also hangs onto the essential key elements ensuring Safety and Durability are delivered throughout a project.
This isn’t exactly the start of the journey and definitely not the end, but it is the point at which Meon invite you, and indeed the whole highway sector, to join them.
Confessedly, they are not die-hard environmentalists but they do support government, so when the current administration set out its stall for the reduction of carbon, Meon listened.
Furthermore, when the funding of the sector became heavily reliant on being able to show effort in reducing carbon, something had to be done. Too often though, innovations flock to the new focus and previous hard won improvements can be lost.
The 2 main features they were determined to hang on to whilst innovating for the environment were a) durability and b) safety.
Durability – Building a machine using proven engineering was essential. Meon chose to use Graco pump systems and drive train because of their proven reliability in the industry for over 30 years. A machine that had the ability to apply a range of marking types was key, from water and solvent based to two pack epoxy and, finally, a high performance MMA system.
Safety – The machine needed to be safe for the operator, and capable of doing big jobs with a small support unit. It is able to tackle urban works in tight locations. Meon wanted to avoid hot works, which is the single biggest cause of incidents within the line marking industry and a potential risk to the general public.
