Multevo | Multevo add 10 new Multihogs to hire fleet to keep up with demand
The move comes as more local authorities seek to utilise multi-purpose machines for greater efficiency and sustainability.
Multevo have been the sole UK distributor for sales, hire and service of the innovative Multihog product range since 2010, working closely with customers over the years to design the vast range of bespoke attachments we see today.
The Multihog is the market leader in its class for tackling pothole and patch repairs for local authorities. The multi-purpose tractor fitted with a front mounted planer enables users to cut out the defected area to a precise depth to produce a permanent repair, greatly benefiting the longevity of the asset. Efficiencies are maximised with the equipment able to drive between sites at a road speed of 40km/ph, whilst dust exposure is eliminated with the integrated dust suppression system.
This process has been tried and tested by over 40% of local authorities nationwide, with a number of success stories including Derby City Council who increased their road repair productivity by 300% whilst benefiting from the equipment’s year-round use for winter maintenance and flood prevention.
In addition, Multevo themselves have proven the concept within their enhanced patching service delivery model, supporting clients with over 251,000 square metres of permanent repairs using the Multihog in 2022 alone. Multevo utilise their insight into operational delivery to work closely with Multihog customers to ensure optimum outputs.
Other tangible benefits seen by customers is a reduction in cost per repair due to increasing their fix-first-time rate and eliminating costly repeat visits associated with more traditional methods of repair.
Aside from highway maintenance, the Multihog’s durable design has made it popular amongst winter maintenance, grounds maintenance and flood prevention municipal services, with the ability to interchange attachments to the front and rear in under two minutes.
The company now has over 55 Multihog machines within their hire fleet and has been operating at full capacity for the last 8 months.
Multevo are calling all councils looking to beat the backlog of repairs this year, with limited trial hires and demonstrations available as Josh Sweeney explains:
“We have the largest hire fleet of Multihogs anywhere in the world, but we still haven’t been able to keep up with demand for the last 8 months so this new order for 2023 should now enable us to provide our customers with the latest available innovation.”
