MVIS | Continuity of staff brings benefits to all
Continuity and consistency is key. That’s the view of MVIS, the UK’s leading provider of the sales and hire of Mobile Variable Message Signs.
With a number of MVIS’ staff having been with the company for large parts of their careers, MVIS prides itself on the journey it takes employees on, keeping them within the company, training them, pushing them to aspire to better things and doing all they can to help them along the way.
So, why is continuity so important?
Skilled, well trained staff are nurtured and developed the MVIS way. With superb knowledge of the product range being built upon year on year, the ability to help customers with their enquiries only grows. MVIS can be secure in the knowledge that each member of staff knows how to deal with their clients properly, and most efficiently- meaning they get the most efficient service and the most fitting products for their needs.
Consistency has kept recruitment costs down and the whole team from the top to the bottom have been instrumental in the company’s growth going above and beyond to get all jobs completed, efficiently, safely and on time.
For example, Anne Ashman, MVIS General Manager has been with the company since 2011.
Anne told us:
“I have been with MVIS from the start and have implemented a lot of the systems we have in place and have recruited most of the staff, apart from Graeme Lee, our Sales Manager and Matt Felce, our R&D Project Manager. I train the operations staff monthly on how we need to fulfil a high customer service level.
“The fact I have been here from the beginning along with Pat our MD and directors Dave and Troy has helped grow MVIS to what it is now as we know the organisation inside out.”
Dom Bridge- Assistant Operations Manager, Tom Hooton- Warehouse and Manufacturing Supervisor, and Darren Slater- Driver & Maintenance Supervisor have also been with MVIS for a combined 9 years and have each helped mentor and train new staff, as well as help with staff retention.
Additionally, the vast knowledge of the staff is matched by MD Pat Musgrave and his brother Dave, one of MVIS’ directors, with their lengthy experience in the UK’s Highways Sector, as well as Troy Wollard, MVIS’ director on product development. Both Pat and Troy place a huge emphasis on innovation- always looking for new ways to improve the MVIS quality of both products and service.
And the big benefit to the client?
Well, the MVIS clientele benefit from ultimate consistency. Consistency of quality, standards and service.
The staff know the products and the systems that program them, this also means they know all the fixes if anything does go wrong. The office staff to the on-site delivery team have built relationships with customers, meaning when a customer calls or is on site they know who they are going to speak to and get a world class service.
