Parking space goes up for sale for a staggering £250,000
Good news millionaires. A parking space has just gone up for sale in a prime spot in Knightsbridge.
The bad news is you might struggle to get your supercar in there.
New to Zoopla this week is a listing for a car parking space on level B3 of an exclusive private underground car park on Basil Street in Knightsbridge.
It’s on the market for a staggering £250,000.
Because the London property market has now officially lost its mind.
The price might not be the only sticking point either.
Poor parkers (in every sense) need not apply, as the parking space is pretty tight.
Not only is it at an awkward angle to the roadway, with a pesky column on the right hand side, but it measures an unforgiving 2.35 metres wide by 5.7 metres long.
Given that your average supercar comes with typically over-sized proportions, this could present a bit of a problem.
A £265,000 Lamborghini Aventador, for example, is slightly over two-metres wide, while a £300,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom is 6.1 metres long.
Nevertheless, the spot is expected to attract a lot of interest from Kensington’s super-rich – because of its location directly opposite Harrods and the fact it offers 24-hour security.
Alternatively, why not just get yourself a mattress and move in? You could always pee in Harrods*.
Just be warned – anyone who purchases the space will also have to pay a £743.32 annual service charge.
*We’re definitely not suggesting anyone does this.
