Part of A500 to shut for seven weeks of overnight roadworks
Part of the A500 is to shut for seven weeks of overnight roadworks.
Highways England is carrying out the resurfacing works on the stretch between Hanchurch roundabout and the Porthill roundabout. New road markings and studs are also being installed during the works.
The overnight closures – in force from 8pm to 6am – will start from Monday, September 13.
Diversion routes will be in operation.
National Highways project manager Ryan Davies said: “Safety is our top priority and we are carrying out essential repairs to the road surface on the A500 which will make journeys smoother for motorists.
“We are also putting new road markings and road studs in place during the work which is taking place overnight when the road is at its quietest.”
