R&C Williams | Meet the Team: Introducing Richard Toy
Introducing Richard Toy, Transport Manager at R&C Williams. As Transport Manager, Richard’s role involves overseeing and planning of all vehicle repairs, as well as completing all repairs if possible – whether it be in the yard or out on site.
Further duties include liaising with the Contracts Managers and/or Operatives if a vehicle is being taken off the road and if they require another vehicle; to organise this as required. With many years’ experience in the transport and mechanics industry, Richard is an expert in his field and a valuable asset to the team. R&C Williams are proud to have him on board.

RT: “Keeping everyone moving”

RT: “Transport Manager”
HI: What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
RT: “New Euro 6 18T whale jet vac”
HI: What are the values that drive you?
RT: “Pride in my work knowing the fleet is compliant & presentable”
HI: Best thing about being part of the R&C Team?
RT: “Being able to work as a team and problem solve with that team”
HI: Worst thing about beingpart of the R&C Team?
RT: “Not being able to say no to a breakfast sandwich on Friday, its not doing my diet any favours”
HI: What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
RT: “Family days out and looking at cars I can’t afford”

RT: “Jeremy clarkson – Says it how it is”
HI: Who would you most like to swap places with for the day?
RT: “Jeremy Clarkson – Grand tour (not the farm)”
HI: What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid?
RT: “Motor vehicle technician”

RT: “The gruffalo”

RT: “I have a dent in my head where I stood behind someone while they struck a golf ball and the back of the golf club head hit me in the head”
HI: What is something [people in your industry/niche] have to deal with that you want to fix?
RT: “For road users to have respect for civil engineers, operatives while carrying out maintenance and emergency works.”
