Roadtechs | What makes Reclamite so special?
So what’s behind this revolutionary product that makes it so innovative?
Roadtechs Reclamite is the only BBA/HAPAS approved penetrative asphalt rejuvenator in the UK. There is no other like it. Complies with the Specification for highways Works(SHW), Volume 1, series 900, Clause 950, Surface Preservation Systems and can be used on the Highways England Network.
One of the major breakthroughs in the application of this product is the process time. The Roadtechs System is able to treat between 6,000m² up to an astonishing 60,000m² in a single shift. All that is required is the access and availability of the carriageway and off they go.
If you compare the cost between Reclamite and other surface treatments it provides a significant saving and offers incredible value for money. So not only is the product more cost effective, its applied in a faster more efficient way.
Other significant benefits of Reclamite is that there is no need to reapply line markings if they are in good condition, therefore saving on materials, labour, traffic management and above all disruption to the travelling public.
So what happens to the characteristics of the road? The road will maintain its original characteristics, for example if there were no skid issues before the works were completed there will be no skid issues after. The product can be applied to old and new surfaces and will take the binder back to the “as manufactured level” and give a firm baseline in terms of condition.
Reclamite can be reapplied at approximately 5 yearly intervals helping to maintain the condition of the carriageway over an extended period of time whilst maintaining the condition of the asset at the required standard.
