See the Worst Road Marking Spelling Mistakes
Were not all perfect at spelling; weve all had the odd cock-up on an important email an infuriating autocorrect blunder or even spelt something wrong on an online article…
But you would think that before you spend time and money painting white paint onto a road that you might just take a second to double triple or even treble check the spelling first even if you Google it.
Lets start with the words KEEP CLEAR (did I spell it right?) for some reason this particular phrase has confounded many road marking contractors out there.
Northamptonshire County Council was quick to correct this mistake in the same day saying: This was simply down to human error. We realised the mistake on the same day the road was painted and an engineer went out to repaint the word correctly within about an hour.
Resident Dave Edmunds said: It made me laugh when I saw the mistake they had made. It took two workers about three hours to paint the lettering. They even marked the letters out with yellow spray before painting over it and still didnt pick up on it.
Even poor BUS STOP road marking has left bus drivers scratching their heads when doing their daily route.
Maybe some of these road markers should go back to SCHOUL before splashing more taxpayers money away!
