Signal TM | Signal membership adds new colour to the TMCA

Signal TM are key partners within the UK civil engineering and construction industries, protecting the travelling public and facilitating the repair, maintenance and renewal of Britain’s roads, railway and utilities infrastructure. 

Ensuring the safety of workers within and pedestrians moving around our temporary work zones is a core philosophy, compelling Signal to constantly innovate and evolve their design and working practices to better suit the needs of their clients and customers.

This attitude towards both safety and innovation has been a vital component of the company being given full membership of the TMCA.

TMCA

The Traffic Management Contractors Association (TMCA) celebrates 31 years “in business” this year as it was established in 1989 (encouraged by the Department for Transport) as a trade association to represent the views of its members, and to further the development (and increase safety) with regard to temporary traffic management systems at major roadworks and all other traffic management sites on a national basis.

Members have participated in and or led most of the innovation and safety improvements in the TTM industry since then.

Having attained ISO14001 Environmental Management, Signal is committed to sustainability in working practices and believe there are further advancements the industry can make through collaborative working in tackling larger issues such as this.

The company believes the TMCA can play an instrumental role in leading change in this area, as they have already showcased with the progress in raising the bar on safety.

Signal is also fully accredited with ISO:45001 Health & Safety, which is recognition of the standards the company uphold; ensuring they actively manage compliance and mitigate risk, set high standards and comply to best working practices.

TMCA membership is recognition of Signal’s capabilities by their peers in industry, and now gives the company the platform to input at an instrumental level into the future of Traffic Management to further support the growth of the sector in-line with TMCA guidance and objectives.
