The Adjuvo Group | Adjuvo & Royal JV wins Prestigious Award for VR

Adjuvo Digital, the 3D animation & Virtual Reality studio that is part of the Adjuvo Group in Birmingham formed an overseas partnership 3 years ago with one of America’s most respected businesses in the Highways sector, Royal Truck & Equipment Inc. (manufacturer of the world’s first and only autonomous Impact Protection Vehicle) & their subsidiary Royal Innovative Solutions Inc. to work on producing animated training videos & virtual training programs for the US highways and construction sectors.
Since forming the partnership they have produced number of animations and virtual training software packages for a variety of corporations throughout the USA.
Last week saw Royal Innovative Solutions attend the 50th Annual ATSSA (American Traffic Safety Services Association) Convention & Traffic Expo in New Orleans where they entered their virtual training products into the prestigious ATSSA Innovation Awards.
The ATSSA Innovation Awards are held annually as part of ATSSA’s annual convention and traffic expo.
The new products from 2019 were evaluated by a panel of judges made up of Department of Transportation personnel. Judges got their first look at the items on Sunday during the New Products Rollout. Twenty items from companies around the USA were shortlisted for review.
They were chosen on the criteria of lifesaving qualities, degree of need, innovation, design and eligibility under the Highway Safety Improvement Program. Company representatives then had the opportunity to talk about their products during ATSSA’s Circle of Innovation event also held during the convention.
“We look forward to the New Product Rollout each year to see the latest ideas for improving roadway safety. Roadway safety manufacturers are a critical component to saving lives on our nation’s roads and ATSSA’s annual convention and expo is the place to see the latest roadway safety products being produced nationwide. The Innovation Awards recognize outstanding efforts by the industry to advance roadway safety and, hopefully, save lives.”

HighwaysIndustry.com caught up with Adjuvo Group Owner, Steven Archer, to get his thoughts on winning the award:
“It’s an unbelievable achievement for everyone concerned, I’d like to thank our design team & software developers who work tirelessly creating such awesome software, the marketing team at Royal Innovative Solutions in the US who have travelled literally hundreds of thousands of miles a year with laptops and VR headsets showcasing the training programs to potential customers from one state to the next, and everyone else in the background who provide the support required to get what is such a great product to market.
Virtual Reality has the potential to solve so many problems for organisations from a training standpoint, we’ve been working on this for 5 years now and we’re still shocked at what can be achieved using this technology.
Everyone involved is so proud to have won such a prestigious award & we’re really looking forward to getting together in a few weeks’ time at CON-EXPO in Las Vegas where we will be showcasing a range of the virtual training products at the show with the rest of the team.
I’d like to give a special mention to Rob, Pam, & Jessica Roy, owners of the Royal Group of companies… three years ago we produced a VR program for them to help showcase their fantastic Autonomous TMA & it blew them away so much that they took a chance on a small company thousands of miles away in the UK after knowing us for only 5 days. It’s not often that someone shows that kind of faith in you & it’s something we’ll never forget; they’re pretty special people, it’s an honour to be in partnership with them & have them as friends.”
