TLS Group – Investment in Welfare is an Investment in People

TLS Group has continued its commitment to investing in its people, operations and the quality of support it provides with the addition of five brand new welfare vehicles to its growing fleet.
While the investment represents another significant step in the continued development of TLS’ operational capability, the decision is about much more than fleet expansion.
At its core, it is an investment in people – ensuring that operatives working across the UK’s highways network have access to safe, comfortable and reliable welfare facilities wherever they are deployed.
The new vehicles will provide essential support for teams working on schemes nationwide, offering a dedicated space for operatives to take breaks, recharge and access the facilities they need throughout their working day or night.
For TLS, employee welfare is a fundamental part of delivering a high-quality service.
TLS Group Managing Director Jamie Sharp told us:
“Investment in these vehicles is an investment for our people out on the network. Our operatives are the backbone of our business, and ensuring they have access to high-quality facilities while working on site is something we take seriously.
“We could have continued to rely on hired vehicles when required, but owning our own fleet gives us greater control, availability and consistency. It means we can ensure our teams have access to the right facilities when they need them, without compromise.
“The environment people work in has a direct impact on how they feel, how they perform and ultimately how safely they operate.”
The purchase forms part of TLS’ wider commitment to continued fleet investment.
With a growing national footprint, including operational locations across the UK, maintaining a modern and reliable fleet is vital to the company’s ability to deliver managed support services at scale.
The company is focused on improving the experience of everyone who works for the business and ensuring teams have the tools, resources and support required to perform at their best. By continuing to invest in owned assets, TLS can maintain greater flexibility, respond quickly to client requirements and provide a consistent standard of support across every project.
The latest welfare vehicle investment is another example of that commitment in action – strengthening capability while reinforcing a simple message: when TLS invests, it invests with its people in mind.
