TLS Group | New Ops Manager supports continued south of England growth
The TLS group continues to expand its presence across the UK, operating in the traffic labour, logistics, construction, and asset hire arenas.
The latest step in the group’s strategic plans is the addition of Damien Titcombe Recruited to the businesses as Operations Manager for the South of England.
New Southern Operations Manager Damien will now lead the daily development and delivery of TLS’ labour supply activity and managed support service to both existing and new clients in the south, as well as leading the entire southern operations team. Development of TLS’ southern operations is a key piece of the company’s growth plan, a plan being driven by TLS National Operations Managers Jamie Sharp and Kirstie Wood.
Damien comes to the role with over 12 years experience in traffic management, having previously carried out Operations Manager roles at other companies within the sector. This experience means Damien is equipped with the knowledge of exactly what a TM contractor needs and expects when it comes to operational support, and now looks forward to working towards enhancing TLS’ already glowing reputation.
Damien told us:
“It’s exciting to be joining an operation like TLS, a company and group that has so much experience, so many resources and is so highly thought of. I’ve had a great welcome and already feel comfortable so I’m looking forward to bringing my own experience to the role for the benefit of all our southern clients – I look forward to working with everyone.”
Director of the TLS group Paul Chamley added:
“We’re really happy to bring Damien in, not only is his experience extensive, but his ‘off-paper’ qualities also shone through at the interview and left us in no doubt who was the right person to lead our southern operations. I am certain he’ll continue to make an excellent impression on our southern-based clients, as well as make fantastic first impressions on potential new clients as well.
“Damien will now set about building on the development we’ve already seen in the south of England, with two additional depots already pending as we continue to strive to provide an increasingly better and better service to our ever-expanding client base.
“Our southern based work is already plentiful, and we’ve seen some real growth there across the 10 years we’ve been established in the south of the UK, but as things continue to develop further TLS now needs a fully southern based operations team rather than conducting all such work from our head office in Retford.”
