TLS | Retford Armed Forces Day
After attending the Retford Armed Forces day, TLS are proud to have received personal thank you for their generous donation.
Glen White of the Retford Armed Forces Committee commented:
“On behalf of the Retford Armed Forces Day Committee, I would like to personally thank TLS for their kind donation of a raffle prize for the Charity Black Tie Dinner in Aid of the Armed Forces Day Event.
I am pleased to announce that with the day time event and the Charity Black Tie Dinner that was held in the evening we have raised a total of £2,800. This amount will be split between 5 different charities, Retford & District Royal British Legion, Retford Branch Royal Air Force Association, Help for Heroes and Unload. These Charities will all receive £675 each.
The remaining £100 will go towards a ‘Ton for a Tablet’ – a good cause set up to help The friends of St Giles school to purchase electronic tablets for the school pupils to use.
The Committee are already busy with organizing next years Armed Forces Day event which will be held on Saturday 17th June 2017.”
TLS are looking forward to attending next years event and are delighted to have helped raise a fantastic total for the Charities.
TLS Managing Director Jill Bennett told us:
“It’s an absolute pleasure for us at TLS to support our local charities and communities and will always explore ways we can lend our support to such great causes.”
