TMCA – TMCA Collaborates with CIHT to Strengthen Training Provision in Temporary Traffic Management

The Traffic Management Contractors Association (TMCA) is proud to announce a new collaboration with the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT), furthering its mission to drive continuous improvement across the traffic management sector.

As part of this partnership, TMCA has worked with CIHT to launch the new Temporary Traffic Sign Amendment Course – an online, on-demand training programme designed to raise safety, compliance, and professionalism in the amendment of temporary traffic signs.

About the Course

The Temporary Traffic Sign Amendment Course is flexible and accessible, making it easier for those working in the sector to upskill without disrupting their day-to-day responsibilities.

• Audience: Traffic Management Operatives, Public Sector Professionals, TMCA Member Staff
• Duration: 2 hours
• Format: Online and on-demand, accessible via mobile, tablet, or desktop
• Content: Bite-sized modules with interactive knowledge checks and an 80% pass mark required for certification
• Cost: £50 per learner

• Safety precautions for sign amendments
• Bilingual signage requirements
• TSRGD Schedule 13 Part 9
• Traffic Signs Manual Chapters 7 & 8
