TMGB | New depot in Essex producing local opportunities on the back of regional success
In January 2021, TMGB opened the doors of a new regional depot in Essex, vacating its prior residence at Wick Farm Place after 4 years.
With firm roots put down in the south of England and a growing presence on the UK’s Traffic Management scene, TMGB was ready for a larger HQ that matched the company’s operations, as well as ambitions.
The new site has twice the capacity of the old and provides TMGB with the platform it now needs for further growth and achieve its future goals.
Three months on from the opening of the new site, TMGB is providing employment opportunities locally thanks to the awarding of numerous key contracts in the south of England.
We look back on the first quarter in operation from Brentwood and spoke with Director Steve Bennett about the company’s aspirations:
“Things have gone from strength to strength.” Steve outlined.
“The move was absolutely vital as our new hub has been able to facilitate our operations and delivery in a way that our former site just wouldn’t have been able to in what is just a few short months.
“We are seeing the word spread in terms of what TMGB is capable of and that’s reflected in the contracts we have seen success on.”
Steve was quick to point out the role of Contracts Manager James Benson in the progress and expansion of the business, stating:
“James’ dedication and commitment to making us a household name in the region has been outstanding, and the key reason for the success we’re currently seeing. I’m extremely proud, as well as extremely grateful to him for his endeavour as he continues to excel in both the region, and the role.”
And as for further aspirations?
“We really want to make sure that we are making a contribution locally.” Steve told us.
“We have had a real presence in the south for some time now, diligently going about our business and building a stellar reputation for both capability and service. With that said, our former location limited us somewhat once momentum was building, so as we continued to win contracts, we essentially outgrew our base.
“We wanted to move into a site where we could further add value to the community around us as well as the business itself, making a commitment to recruiting from our locality and providing career opportunities for the people around us. Supporting local is of great importance to our business, and as we operate across the UK we work to provide opportunities for local people in each area, as well as supporting community projects and initiatives.
“As 2021 unfolds and we put further roots down, we’re excited at what we can bring to our communities.”
