TMGB | Northern and Southern depots lay the foundations for national coverage

TMGB Vehicle sits proudly at Tuxford HQ
TMGB provides traffic management solutions across the whole of the UK and places its emphasis on the performance and delivery of a service that enhances both the industry and the safety of the public. TMGB can carry out any type of provision that is required by the traffic management sector.
The company delivers its services from two locations. One in the north of England, and a second in the south. Tuxford, Nottinghamshire is the company’s northern base, with the footprint in the south in Brentwood, Essex. Tuxford is placed perfectly to service the north and the midlands, with Brentwood the hub for all matters London and the south.
Six staff are based in the northern office with a further 3 in the southern office. James Benson, TMGB Operations Director runs the south depot and company MD Steve Bennett, ably assisted by Mick Martin run the northern operation.
In addition to these permanent pillars of consistency at each depot, a workforce of almost 100 operational staff delivers the TMGB scope of services across the country on a daily and nightly basis.
The Tuxford depot is referred to as ‘head office’ as it was the first TMGB depot opened, as well as having the larger team of back-office staff at present.

With that said, Brentwood is now the depot with the larger footprint after a recent expansion that saw capacity increase 3-fold.
The requirement for the Brentwood base was driven by TMGB’s gravitation into servicing tier 1 clients, where it has multiple contracts within the M25 perimeter, in addition to in Essex.
Essex has seen great success with tender wins, servicing local and county authorities as well as the contractors associated with them.

The TMGB Brentwood depot has facilitated national coverage
With the current rate of growth showing no signs of slowing down, we asked MD Steve Bennett whether or not depot number three is on the horizon?
“All I can say is ‘watch this space’” Steve told us. “We’re hugely encouraged by the progress we’re making in the south after opening our new Brentwood depot. So, if things continue in that vein, we may well be finding ourselves on the hunt in the not-too-distant future.”
Speaking of the company’s services, Steve continued:
“The northern and southern locations mean we can cover the whole of the country with ease, it gives our clients benefits when it comes to rapid deployment, especially on the East side of the country.
“As a fair indication of our capability when it comes to coverage, recent schemes have taken us as far as to the Scottish Highlands as well as to the Welsh valleys, so it’s safe to say there isn’t a nook or cranny of the UK we can’t reach.
“We are heavily involved with most major schemes in the north by way of supporting the main contractors, and we currently have a presence all over the networks in Area 6, 7, 8, 12 & 14.

TMGB’s southern operations runs out of Brentwood, Essex
“In the south, we are currently the preferred supplier on the TfL South & East, and we have delivered TM for the super cycle highway in London as well as events like the Lord Mayors Show, so we have a diverse portfolio across the entire country.
“As we continue to grow, we continue to look at ways in which we can expand our service and deliver a quality to main contractors in the civils and utilities sectors.”
