TrafficManagementJobs.co.uk launches to bring structure to traffic management recruitment

TrafficManagementJobs.co.uk has officially launched, aiming to give the UK traffic management sector a dedicated platform for jobs, careers, and industry insight.
The platform has been built in response to clear gaps in how the sector currently recruits. Feedback gathered from more than 300 operatives before launch highlighted consistent issues. Roles are often shared across social media, applications are difficult to track, and large job boards tend to mix traffic management roles with unrelated vacancies.
Traffic Management Jobs has been developed to address those problems by creating a single, focused space for the sector.
For candidates, the platform offers a central place to find traffic management roles across the UK, supported by structured profiles that highlight tickets, experience, and availability. Alongside job listings, the platform includes a training hub designed to support entry into the sector and progression within it. This is supported by TM Insider, a dedicated content area that explains how the industry works, the different roles available, and the pathways for career development.
For employers, the platform is designed to improve the quality and management of applications. Rather than relying on informal channels or broad job boards, companies can receive structured applications from candidates with relevant experience. The platform can also work alongside existing Applicant Tracking Systems, allowing employers to integrate it into their current recruitment processes.
At launch, the platform is not starting from scratch. Jobs have already been pre-loaded from companies that engaged early with the concept, and more than 300 operatives had registered interest prior to going live. Engagement has also come from across the sector, including companies such as HTM, Hireway, TSM, UK Road Services, Roadway, Quantum TM, Paragon, Dutton TM, TLS Lanes Group, Core Highways, TMO, and Adjuvo Group.
The initial release is positioned as Version 1.0, with the expectation that the platform will evolve in line with industry feedback. While early-stage growth is expected to be gradual, the existing level of engagement suggests strong demand for a more focused recruitment solution.
Looking ahead, Traffic Management Jobs plans to expand beyond job listings. The platform is expected to work with training providers such as Up To Speed, as well as suppliers across the sector including vehicle hire companies, manufacturers, PPE providers, and technology firms. The aim is to create a broader ecosystem that supports both recruitment and long-term career development.
A key focus will also be on attracting new entrants into the industry. Through content and education, the platform aims to challenge common perceptions of traffic management and highlight the range of roles, training routes, and career progression available.
TrafficManagementJobs.co.uk enters the market as a specialist platform built specifically for traffic management, with a clear focus on improving how the sector attracts, recruits, and develops its workforce.
The launch also reflects a wider shift in how the traffic management sector is approaching recruitment and retention. With ongoing skills shortages and increasing demand across highways and infrastructure projects, the need for a more structured and visible route into the industry is growing.
Marc Hobbins, Founder of Traffic Management Jobs, said the focus is on long-term change rather than short-term fixes.
“We know this won’t transform the sector overnight, but it gives us a solid starting point. The interest before launch has been strong, and that shows there is a real appetite for doing things better.
What matters now is consistency. More jobs going on, more candidates joining, and more companies seeing the value in having everything in one place.
We also want to make the industry more accessible. There are a lot of people who would suit traffic management but don’t understand how to get in or what the roles involve. If we can make that clearer and connect it with real opportunities, that is where this really starts to make an impact.”
As the platform develops, its success will depend on continued collaboration with employers, training providers, and suppliers across the sector.
