Triangle Software | Paperless Systems bring Environmental benefits
More and more companies are starting to examine the benefits of going paperless and bringing software systems into their day to day protocols, and Triangle Software have been at the forefront for 25 years.
As with many leading technological advances, it can take some time for the mainstream to take note.
Well, now it’s time.
Software systems and mobile apps are becoming more and more common place, with companies realising how the increases in efficiency and reliability add value to their operations.
But, what about other benefits?
Triangle have been singing the song of the added corporate social responsibility benefits of a paperless ethos for some time. With an elimination of paper records, data sheets and checklists- the impact on the environment is obvious.
Anna Howe of Triangle told us:
“It’s definitely becoming more widely accepted that software system implementation and mobile applications are almost essential nowadays for the efficient running of a company when data and keeping records are so vital. Improper record keeping can have major legal implications, so it’s refreshing to see the recognition of software as the answer come to the fore.
“However, often companies can get caught up in the software or apps in terms of functionality and how it keeps the workforce flowing on a day to day basis, and neglect to realise additional benefits coming their way. All businesses are looking to cut their overheads, and with the annual savings that can be made by eliminating paper, mobile systems deliver an additional bonus.
“Additionally – and of huge importance to us here at Triangle – with the constant focus on damage and harm to the environment that all companies, especially those running a fleet of vehicles come under scrutiny for, we can give a guarantee that switching from paper-based record keeping to Triangle software systems significantly reduces the carbon footprint of a company. This makes companies more appealing to their prospective clients, knowing they’re getting involved with environmentally friendly organisations.”
We also spoke to Alan Williams, General Manager of TMS Traffic Management, who are utilising Triangle Software’s mobile software about the effect of the implementation on their paper usage and environmental effect:
Alan gave us his first-hand experiences:
“As a business we had set targets back in 2017 for reducing our carbon footprint and by making this change we can show a 65% reduction on the use of paper/ink and waste materials within our business.
“Making the investment in the handheld software devices has stopped us printing 5 sheets of paper for 1 job pack and when you have 10-20 jobs going out a day, 7 days a week, that’s a lot of resource being used.
“With today’s technology every company should be looking at innovative ideas like this to help reduce this well-known global issue.”
