VIDEO | The Mysterious Road Where Gravity is Reversed
Something strange is happening on one part of the A719 near Ayr in Scotland If you were on a bicycle at the bottom of the road in this (above) picture you would start to float backwards up the hill.
Witchcraft! I hear you yell string the tarmac up to a cross and burn it! Luckily we live in the 21st century and burning everything alive is not our answer for the strange and unknown.
No we have science to objectively look at the situation. And in the video below road surveyor Chris English takes his trusty theodolite and takes some measurements to explain all.
It is incredible how we use the surrounding land to make judgement of what we see in front of us.
Known as Gravity Hills Magnetic Hills or Magic Roads there are literally thousands of them all around the world. Like the painting Relativity by M.C Escher perhaps our reality is not quite what it seems
