WJ Group | Road Expo Scotland
Award-winning road stud installation investment for Scotland to be showcased at Road Expo.
WJ’s ambition and forward-thinking ethos for workforce welfare is driving the road marking industry forward, continually finding better and most importantly, safer ways of doing things.
Their latest innovation and recent winner of the Site Safety Initiative Award at the Highways Awards, is a method of road stud installation designed to remove vulnerable operatives from the carriageway. The bespoke design of the WJ Guardian System is a significant leap forward in roadworker safety, allowing the complete road stud installation process to take place, whilst protecting operatives within an integrated safety cell of an 18-tonne truck. The system also facilitates a much safer passage for road users when negotiating roadworks.
The latest WJ Guardian design has been built specifically for use in Scotland, providing potential for less road closures whilst ensuring a safer operation on the challenging Scottish road network.
Brian Smith WJ Operations Manager for Scotland commented:
“This is a significant investment and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to provide the best road marking operation in Scotland”
The unit which will be based out of the Airdrie Depot, is to be showcased at Road Expo in Edinburgh this November before immediate commissioning in Scotland after the show.
