WJ receives prestigious Health & Safety Award at the RSMA annual conference themed “What good looks like”
For the second consecutive year WJ collected the prestigious Health & Safety Award at the RSMA annual conference and gala dinner, recently held at the Chesford Grange Warwickshire.
Keynote speaker Andrew Jones MP Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at Department for Transport told the conference that safety was always the first item on the agenda for review meetings with Highways England which confirmed the commitment, innovation and investment in continuous safety improvements for WJ’s operations and workforce is well placed.
At the 18th annual conference entitled “what good looks like” Craig Williams WJ Group Health & Safety Manager shared best practice in workforce engagement when delivering his presentation on safety to the conference delegates.
Innovation in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with the introduction of VizLite photoluminescence to provide enhanced visibility in dark zones was specifically highlighted by Craig and well received along with considerable praise for his conveyor system to drive forward ideas for continuous safety improvements.
