WJ – WJ Surface Treatments announces strategic expansion into Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions
In a significant move marking an ongoing commitment to road safety and innovation, WJ Surface Treatments has announced plans to expand into the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions of the United States.
This strategic growth has seen the establishment of a new depot in Hazelton, PA, and the extension of the company’s coverage to an additional 10 states, as well as the federal district of Washington D.C. The rapid expansion extends WJ Surface Treatments into a total of 20 states.
Building on the success of its operations in Atlanta, GA, WJ Surface Treatments is now set to bring its expertise in High Friction Surface Treatments (HFST), Captive Abrasive Friction Enhancement, Surface Preparation and Bridge Deck Waterproofing to a wider audience in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Missouri, along with Washington D.C.
The expansion is bolstered by a series of successes, which include the company’s recognition as industry leaders, leading to a nomination to the American Traffic Safety Services Association HFST Council. It also follows a number of successful projects and partnerships with the new depot in Hazelton, which is strategically positioned to effectively meet the growing demand for sustainable road safety solutions from State Departments of Transportation in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions.

WJ Surface Treatments started operating in August 2023, with an initial focus on nine southeastern states. The expansion to a further 11 states is a significant announcement for the company, as it looks continue its positive impact on the road safety landscape in the United States.
