TMCA – Supporting Grassroots Equestrian Talent by Sponsoring Sinai Dressage Series

The TMCA proudly supported the Under 12’s category in the 2024/25 Sinai Dressage Winter Series  – a longstanding grassroots initiative that has been nurturing young riders and equine partnerships for over a decade.

Running from September to March, the series was founded by Helen Dawson, an experienced dressage rider and coach who has competed successfully up to British Dressage Medium level.

Helen launched the Sinai series to provide grassroots riders with a welcoming and supportive environment to build confidence and enjoy competitive riding. What began as a modest idea has since become a vibrant and much-loved event in the equestrian calendar.

Over the past 10 years, the Sinai Dressage Series has hosted more than 10 championship shows, awarded hundreds of rosettes and sashes, and supported a wide range of riders on their journey into competitive dressage – including several who have progressed to British Dressage affiliated competitions.

This season, TMCA proudly sponsored the Under 12’s section, where young talent was on full display.

Champion Rider was Arian Songhurst, riding her 19-year-old pony, Joker.

Arian has owned Joker for four years, and together they’ve developed a strong partnership, successfully representing their Pony Club at both regional and national level dressage championships.

Reserve Champion was Ami Francis-Lang, riding her rescue pony Mr Dudley. Once facing the prospect of being put to sleep due to a leg injury, Mr Dudley made a remarkable recovery. Since then, he and Ami have represented their Pony Club at National Championships in dressage, show jumping, and one-day events.

The TMCA is committed to supporting positive community initiatives, and its sponsorship of the Sinai Dressage Series reflects a broader dedication to development, opportunity, and safety across all sectors.
